E singatures required of all guild members
Posted by Zilah on Saturday, January 23, 2010 (08:26:16) (20 reads)
Please note from now on you must leave your main toon's in guild e signature to be eligible for promotions and withdrawals from guild bank. People who have already been promoted have until February 28th to e sign their main toons signature. Failure to do so will result in your rank being reset to Speaker (welcome) rank. We are enforcing this as a result of continuously having to tell guildies the rules, as they have been too preoccupied to read it. There is to be no more excuses! It is not the officers jobs to constantly remind people of the rules.
Please sign not on News rules but the one in community forums under guild news then the guild rules link. Everyone must do this, including officers.
Hopefully this will lead to a more fluid running of the guild.

Amended Rules.....Again
Posted by Zilah on Saturday, January 23, 2010 (08:26:00) (7 reads)
Unfortunately there have been recent incidents in which the typing of a full code of conduct/ rules has been deemed necessary.
GENERAL BEHAVIOR
1. NO swearing in guild chat; this includes the words Chuck and/or Norris (that is what Barrens chat is for). This is mainly as a common courtesy and respect we have for other guilds. Please note some guildies do have children and is just another good reason this rule is enforced.
2. There are to be NO racial slander or prejudice remarks or jokes said over Vent, or typed to other members, or typed in guild chat at anytime.
3. There is to be NO begging in guild chat. This includes runs and gold. We have all had to earn our gold, if you need it for gear see if any guildies have a profession that can help you out or look in g bank; you may be pleasantly surprised. As for runs; please contact an officer and they will schedule a run in the calendar. We all have leveling toons; please be fair on our game play as well.
4. NO spam in guild chat. No one wishes to see the same bit of text over and over again. Spam also includes linking items in guild chat. The occasional link to ask advice of fellow guildies which item is better is fine. But when there is a guild raid then there would be a spam of items being linked that have been won. It's great if you get that new and improved upgrade but a woot in guild chat will suffice.
5. NO posting recount feed in party, guild or raid chat, especially on guild runs. Not only does everyone's recount meter read a different amount as some people may be out of range, it doesn't take everything into account and is not an accurate reading of someone being a great raider. It can also make people who are gearing or have a kiting (or other important) job feel bad. Yes it's nice to have good dps but I would rather a mage decurse raid so we don't wipe then get that extra dps from them.
6. NO lootwhoring. When instancing with groups, be it publicly or with guildies who are using an open roll system, should at no point you take advantage of that system by 'rolling need' on items where a 'roll greed' system has been established unless such a roll is approved by all other members of the group. Furthermore you should for no reason be rolling on items that are outside of your class restriction, or rolling on items that are within your restrictions (i.e. rolling on mail when you wear plate) unless you have the approval and consent of all other members involved in the group.
7. There is to be NO merchanting to other guild members. If you are looking to gain gold value for items you have acquired, then the auction house or trade channel is the best thing for you. You CAN ask other guildies if they have a particular profession skill item to spare (asking for enchanting mats, ores, or smelted bars for example). That is what the auction house is for. If you are giving said item away for free that is fine but guild chat is not to be used to make money. Besides we are trying to encourage people to use the guild bank before the auction house. Remember people guild bank items are half the price of auction house. (Also officers do not wish to be spending their time resolving a "rip off" between guildies that is another reason why we ask you use the guild bank and/or auction house.)
8. NO slandering or defamation of other guildies (past or present) by any means, whether verbally, virtually, or any other means. Joking about a friend's mom in guild chat or Vent is one thing, but if your motives are to be intentionally malicious or spiteful in your communication whether verbally, or virtually via chat functions such as guild chat, officer or public notes, or guild message of the day will not be tolerated. Furthermore if you feel you have been the target of such harassment, please bring the issue up to an officer. Should you feel uncomfortable approaching an officer, or perhaps the issue itself is with an officer, you can bring it to the attention of the GM.
9. Uphold the public name of the guild. This goes to include your experiences with pick up groups "PUGs". When pugging abide by the set rules and roles of the group as if you were with guildies. This is also inclusive of worldly chats such as trade, LFG, or any other worldly related chat. For no reason should a guildie publicly insult another guild's name or particular member of that guild in relation of that guilds name sake. There may be occasions when person to person interaction occurs and you would like to inform other people publicly of what happened. Mentioning of particular name is acceptable so long as it is professional, but do not be inclusive of the persons guild. An example of such an incident could be "/2.Trade: Guys watch for JohnDoe, he just took all my enchanting mats without doing the enchant and logged off". A bad example would be "/2. Trade: I just got scammed by one of those JohnDoe's guild guys when trading!". Guild public re(edited)tion is something that can easily be tarnished and yet take a long time to recover. Guild public re(edited)tion, and public relations can go a long way to enriching your experience with trading and PUG'ing.
10. There is to be NO arguing with an officer especially in guild chat. If you have a problems please bring it up with an officer or GM at an appropriate time, and in a whisper. If you can not follow this rule you will be Sin Binned automatically until the officers are free to deal with you.
GUILD BANK SYSTEM
If you remove an item or item(s) you must therefore replace said item(s) with other item(s) of equal or greater value. If this is not convenient please deposit gold for the said item(s). We work this out to be half of what the cost for the item is on the Auction House. Please do NOT deposit items trash grey items or items that can easily be bought at a vendor into guild bank. If you can not remove an item you need you may need to contact an officer to do so for you, or you can send a mail request through to Zilah, our wonderful GM.
If you fail to adhere by guild bank system ie. replacing items who can be demoted and on repeated offense removed from guild. Please be fair to everyone's efforts.
RAIDS
1. Bring your own raid consumables; this includes buff food. And enough to last at least 4 hours of raiding.
2. Explanations. If someone is explaining fight please pay attention. If they are using vent to explain, DO NOT talk on vent while they are. Also do not use vent while in boss fights as raid leader/ officers may need to update raid quickly on strategy or remind people to get out of purple rings of death (AOE). If the explanations are happening in raid chat please refrain from typing anything until they have finished. It is distracting for all and you may miss something important. (If they are using vent it is ok to talk in raid chat.)
3. Leaving. If you have to leave try to give raid leader/officer at least 20 minutes notice. This gives us time to possibly get replacement ready to go before you leave, so no time is being wasted. We can not help it if pugs rage quit but we do not appreciate and will not tolerate guildies doing it. Guildies are learning fights and gearing. There will be wipes, especially if we have to pug people. If you can't afford the repairs then use can't afford to win new gear (ie gem n enchant it). Also if someone is leaving and they say so please refrain from making a negative comment in raid chat, especially if we have pugged people. It is up to officer to confront bad raid behavior and most of the time they have told officers. We only say this as we do not wish to make people feel bad who have put in the effort and have had to leave due to real life commitments. There will be times when no notice will be able to be given, especially those guildies who have children. The unforeseeable does comes up, we understand please just try not to make a habit of it.
4. Going AFK. We all need to go afk sometimes. Please don't do it in middle of boss fight. Please let raid leader/officer know. If possible get notice and hopefully we can organize raid wide break so everyone can get a drink or have a bio break.
5. Raid leaders are to organize replacements. Please refrain from pestering guildies not in raid. That is their job and if too many people are pestering them to come it's not likely they will want to. Raid leaders/officers are normally doing lots in the background. Please be patient. Also we will endeavor to have someone in vent with a mic that can let guildies know what going on. We appreciate everyone's enthusiasm but wires can be crossed and people annoyed if we have too many people doing the same job.
Please note all general behavior rules apply to raid behavior as well

Amended Rules

sorry For the INcomming Wall of Text, but Just moved it out of forums for all to see
1) We do not tolerate bullying or any form of prejudice in our guild. We do believe in having a good old laugh but please make sure it's mainly at the alliance's expense. If we can treat all guildies with respect there will be not a problem. If you are having problems with a fellow guildie please try working it out amongst yourselves before contacting an officer.
2) We do not tolerate swearing in guild chat; this includes the words Chuck and/or Norris (that is what Barrens chat is for). This is mainly as a common courtesy and respect we have for other guilds. Please note some guildies do have children and is just another good reason this rule is enforced. Also that Blizzard themselves do not appreciate the swearing otherwise how do you account for them censoring it. There is a reason for it we assure you.
3) There is to be no begging in guild chat. This includes runs and gold. We have all had to earn our gold, if you need it for gear see if any guildies have a profession that can help you out or look in g bank; you may be pleasantly surprised. Let's Use It!
Posted by Krisellys on Monday, December 21, 2009 (02:22:00) (12 reads)
First of all, I want to send a big thanks out to Helishi. The website looks great!
Secondly, now that the website is up and running and we have a forum, let's use it. There is a place for just about everything.
If you have any questions about your class, or you know of something that may be of use to other guildies of your class, there is a forum for it.
If you know of any mods or links that may be of use to any other guildies, there is a place for that too.
If you just want to talk about other games, a movie you have seen, your favourite tv show or music, or would like to plan a meet and greet for other guildies in your area, there is somewhere to do that too.
Like I said, we have a forum now, so let's use it. Just please remember, that we have guildies of all ages, and have a bit of respect for everyone else. We may not be in game, but the Code of Conduct still applies.
